Dear Resident:
Welcome! As you are aware, the Army implemented a plan for residents to be
responsible for paying their own utilities. Minol is a third party utility
billing company and we have been contracted to conduct the Residential
Communities Initiative Program. One of the most important things you
need to know about this program is you can be rewarded for conserving energy.
Those who conserve will be financially rewarded, and those who do not conserve,
will be billed for their excess consumption.
The first step of the RCI program is a “mock billing” period. This can occur
for three, six or twelve months. The purpose is of this is to enable you and
your property management company to work out any concerns prior to receiving
actual bills. During this time data will be collected to develop a fair and
equitable baseline for your utilities.
Minol will be sending you a “mock bill” or consumption statement. Please review
your statements during this period and contact us should you have any
questions.
You will be notified when the “mock bill” is complete. At that point, you will
be responsible for paying the utility statement. You will receive either a
rebate, a payment due or no action required statement.
